Seaport Sea Level Rise Impacts beyond the “50-Year Planning Horizon” Project Paper

There is currently much debate about whether sea level rise, global warming, and climate change are occurring and what is causing them. However, if they are occurring, and the cause cannot be eliminated and the effects cannot be reversed, it is prudent to plan for the potential effects of them, especially sea level rise since all coastal ports are set at approximately the elevation to facilitate the transfer of cargo and passengers to and from the ships traversing the ports.
